78.2 IDA file is moving in the right path.
Some organizations are spreading rumours or making announcement about the case of 78.2% almost on daily basis.
Some of them are contradictory and confuse the readers. Repeatedly we told that we shall post only confirmed information in this website.
The Cabinet Secretariat had returned the advance copy few days back asking the DoT to make some corrections. They were not of serious nature. But it takes time to correct and then prepare the forwarding letter etc. And the Final File requires signature of DDG, Members and Secretary, Telecom.
Today Com. R L. Kapoor has reported from Delhi that the Pension Section has resubmitted the Note with all corrections incorporated as suggested by cabinet secretariat. After obtaining the signature of DDG, Member(F), Member(S) etc. it will be submitted to Secretary, Telecom himself next week for his signature.
Thereafter it will be sent to Cabinet Secretariat. The file is moving in the right path.
No doubt, it is already delayed. We do hope that Secretary, Telecom will ensure speedy movement of the File and also we hope that the Cabinet will accord its approval to the proposal without further delay.
1.5 lakh families are waiting for the benefit anxiously

As already reported through this medium, an advance copy of the Cabinet Note on 78.2% has been submitted to Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and five copies have been sent to Cabinet Secretariat simultaneously. It is for initial scrutiny. According to the rules, the PMO or Cabinet Secretariat should tell DoT within three working days if the Note requires any correction. So far, no instruction is received from them. Three working days are over. Normally, no Department will act on 4 th day. Because it is PMO. They used to wait for a week or so. We can expect further action next week.
Some people have suggested that we should approach Shri Ananthakumar again. We understand and appreciate their anxiety. But they forget that this issue is not very important for others except BSNL retirees. For Shri Narendra Modi or Shri Ananthakumar, there are more important issues like Assembly elections, Helicopter, Sonia Gandhi etc. etc.

International Day of Families  15 May

A good husband is God’s gift
A good wife is more than God’s gift
Good and Happy Children are their parent’s gift
All  good build an university of  an ideal perspective Road of Progress
To achieve the eternal road of  Happiness and tranquillity.

Families are microscopic form of a nation.
If the familes are happy, then a nation will be happy and peaceful.
The last generation of families of our nation were poor but happy
They lived peaceful with unity among diversity with less wants and amenities.
They were blessed with natural water, pure air, organic food  and enjoyed the serene nature and lived healthy also.
The present generation is living with many adversaries and social pressures.
From birth to Death every thing becomes a commodity and marketing including education. The egalitarian society transformed into a business class.
They have to spend lot to maintain minimum standard of living and health services but sources of employment are very less or less paid.
Once employed permanent people are replaced by contract   labourers (Hire and Fire) without EPF,ESI and job security. No Government Pension for employed from 1.1.2004 except their savings and Govt.contribution.
Very less people were blessed with decent job with good salary but with a constant fear of obvious reasons.
Our media and people with shining colours make our less fortunate people to live in utopian world with stupendous dogmas and disappointed always.
In this scenario, We fortunate elders leaving our false inflated ego,
Lend our hands to help our sons and daughters at the times of  need
Either to part with our money saved or to assist in rearing grand children.
We are not only successful and make them also victorious.

The International Day of Families is observed on the 15th of May every year. The Day was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1993 with resolution A/RES/47/237 and reflects the importance the international community attaches to families. The International Day provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting families.

The International Day of Families has inspired a series of awareness-raising events, including national family days. In many countries, that day provides an opportunity to highlight different areas of interest and importance to families. Activities include workshops and conferences, radio and television programmes, newspaper articles and cultural programmes highlighting relevant themes.
The central goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development focus on ending poverty, promoting shared economic prosperity, social development and people’s well-being while  protecting the environment. Families remain at the centre of social life ensuring the well-being of their members, educating and socializing children and youth and caring for young and old.
In particular, family-oriented policies can contribute to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 1 to 5 relating to doing away with poverty and hunger; ensuring healthy lives and promoting of well-being for all ages; ensuring educational opportunities throughout the lifespan and achieving gender equality.

Themes of Past International Day of Families

·         2012:  Ensuring work family balance

·         2005 HIV/AIDS and Family Well-being

U N.Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says
"Equitable social and economic development depends on fair legal frameworks and social norms that support the rights of women and children. Discriminatory laws and practices that do not give equal rights to all, and that suppress women’s and children’s rights, have no place in contemporary families, communities, societies and nations."

The results of 7th Membership Verification for Non-Executives in BSNL are announced. Both BSNLEU and NFTE-BSNL will continue to enjoy the facilities of recognition. We congratulate the leaders of both the organizations.
BSNLEU could not get 50% though it increased the vote share marginally. That helped NFTE to retain recognition as the second recognized union. There is an erosion of 1.5% vote share of FNTO.
One fact is revealed: during the last three years there is a reduction of 40648 voters amongst the non-Executives. In other words, more than 40,000 Non-Executive staff retired from BSNL during the three years.
