WHY IDA INCREASE IS JUST MARGINAL?
Many friends are asking the above question.
According to the Labour Bureau of India,  the price of many items like
Rice, Egg, Fish, Onion, Vegetables, Sugar, Petrol, Flowers has  decreased.
For details read the Press Release from the Labour Bureau, given below:
...............................................................................................................................................
                                               Press Release
Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) – February, 2015
The All-India CPI-IW for February, 2015 decreased by 1 point and pegged at 253
(two hundred and fifty three). On 1-month percentage change, it decreased by (-) 0.39 per cent
between January, 2015 and February, 2015 when compared with the increase of (+) 0.42 per cent
between the same two months a year ago.l

The maximum downward pressure to the change in current index came from Food group
contributing (-) 0.66 percentage points to the total change. At item level, Rice, Eggs (Hen),
Fish Fresh, Onion, Vegetable items, Sugar, Petrol, Flower/Flower Garlands, etc. are
responsible for the decrease in index. However, this decrease was neutralised by Wheat,
Wheat Atta, Arhar Dal, Groundnut Oil, Goat Meat, Tea (Readymade), etc., putting upward
pressure on the index.

The year-on-year inflation measured by monthly CPI-IW stood at 6.30 per cent for February, 2015
as compared to 7.17 per cent for the previous month and 6.73 per cent during the corresponding
month of the previous year. Similarly, the Food inflation stood at 7.42 per cent against 7.81 per cent
of the previous month and 7.56 per cent during the corresponding month of the previous year.

At centre level, Tiruchirapally recorded the highest decline of 7 points followed by Guntur (4 points),
Mysore, Chhindwara, Siliguri and Puducherry (3 Points each) Among others, 2 points decrease
was observed in 15 centres and 1 point in 18 centres. On the contrary, Belgaum and Kodarma
centres reported a highest increase of 3 points each followed by Kanpur, Bokaro and Doom-Dooma
Tinsukia (2 points each). Among others 1 point increase was observed in 13 centres.
Rest of the 21 centres’ indices remained stationary.

The indices of 37 centres are above All India Index and other 40 centres’ indices are below
national average. The index of Vishakhapatnam centre remained at par with all-India index.

The next index of CPI-IW for the month of March, 2015 will be released on Thursday,
30th April, 2015. The same will also be available on the office website www.labourbureau.gov.in.

30th March 2015  FROM CHQ

CPC NEWS….
The 7th Central Pay Commission is now  meeting  All India Federations and taking oral evidence.
It started on 23-3-2015 and may continue in first week of April also. It is told  that
the 7th CPC may submit is report to the Government by October 2015.

Leaders of Staff Side in National Council(JCM) and the leaders of All India Audit and Accounts Association report, after their meeting with the CPC, that the 7th CPC may discard
Pay Band + Grade Pay system introduced by the 6th CPC.

It may be noted that the 6th CPC did not study the duties and responsibilities of
various cadres of  officers/officials in central service.  Instead, it simply added
the Basic pay and DA as on 1-1-2006 and then granted a new element of Grade Pay.

Hence, it is good if the 7th CPC discards the Grade Pay system and submit a detailed report
after considering the qualification required, nature of work and responsibilities,
and the need of the staff in central government services as well as
considering the justification for grant of a reasonable minimum wage.

 CHQ NEWS   28th March 2015

OUR THANKS TO SHRI ANANTHA KUMAR

We express our sincere thanks to Shri Anantha Kumar,
Honourable Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India
for his effective intervention in our case of 78.2% IDA benefit.

OUR LEADERS RETURNED TO THEIR HQs

After meeting the Secretary, Telecom, Member (Finance) and Director (Estt) of Department of Telecom,
several meetings with Shri Ananthakumar, the Honourable minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers
in New Delhi  our leaders, S/Shri G Natarajan (GS), D Gopalakrishnan (VP), P Gangadhara Rao (AGS)
and R Changappa (CS Karnataka) have returned from Delhi to their respective head quarters yesterday.
The exercise of asking Data from BSNL Corporate Office, then from Circles, thereafter from SSA
is all futile now in the background of clear assurance given by Secretary, Telecom that
a revised Cabinet Note is under preparation and that the same would be sent to the four nodal ministries
for their opinion within a period of 15 days.
Those four nodal ministries have to convey their opinion within 15 days thereafter.
It is all mandatory as per the rules.
Hence, we can expect that the Note will go to Cabinet by end of April 2015 or at least in May 2015.
We are confident that the Secretary, Telecom, Mr. Garg, is capable of honouring his assurance.
More than 125000 BSNL pensioners are waiting anxiously ……
[Some other organisation leaders claim that they have met the Secretary and got the assurance etc.
They got the information from this Website.
Some others copied and pasted the news but deliberately omited our name.
It exibits their culture.
We have no complaint.  We will continue our efforts.
All BSNL pensioners- no matter they are our members or not- will benefit.]

27th March 2015
IMPORTANT AND MOST IMPORTANT…!
HOW SOON?
Please refer our earlier posting in this Website on the letter from DoT to BSNL Corporate Office asking for DATA
on number of pensioners etc.
As all know, Department of Telecom is paying pension to BSNL retirees.
Naturally, DoT must have the DATA about the number of people it is paying pension to.
Instead of collecting the information from the CCA offices, the DoT
sent a letter on 13-3-2015 to CMD, BSNL to supply the DATA. It was marked as
MOST IMPORTANT.
After 13 days, on 26-3-2015, the BSNL Corporate Office has endorsed that letter to all Circles to supply the DATA
within ten days.  It is also marked as MOST IMPORTANT.
Some Circle Offices may do it. Some may reply that they do not have the DATA.
Some others will never reply even.
As our experiences show, many Circle Offices may ask the SSA offices to
Send the DATA.  The DoT will not get the complete DATA  in the near future.
That much IMPORTANT it is.
Because,  it is pensioners’ case.

International Women's Day 2015  in Tamilnadu Circle Branches

Chennai traffic District Association of AIBSNLPWA at Pazavanthangal

INTERNATINAL WOMENS DAY conducted by the  Chennai traffic District Association of All India BSNL Pensioners Welfare Association, at Pazavanthangal, on 14.3.2015 at 16 hours under the President ship of Mrs. Mangai Soundararajan, who said  women’s right has not been achieved and a lot has to be improved.  While creating more awareness amongst women we have to concentrate on becoming legislators/ member of the local body, without depending upon anybody. Towards this workshops to be conducted in a large scale througout the country.

Mrs. Chllammal { Retired From Telegraph ) said after a great struggle we see some advancement but to keep the torch going, correct message should be propagated not merely by Women Marathon or Rangoli campaign. The child abuse major percentage is from the relatives and friends which women should keep in mind.  Even media has its constraint.
Women should be treated at par with men and as mothers we should imbibe such qualities to the boys while bringing up.

Mrs.Shobana Raman (Social Activist, and Lakshmi Ladies Club, Nanganallur )  We must take the freedom and bring changes as Poet |Bharathi visualized. In spite of freedom for the country, the freedom in its proper form and perspective has not reached the Indian women. Women can for see what will happen in future. Every women should shed the fear and instill confidence in them to bring a remarkable change in the society and ready to fight against injustice for a changed society where the women Command equal respect.

Mrs. Gunasundari ( Retired Chennai Telephones )
While only 3% of the organized sector enjoys the right derived from several Acts like wages, maternity, leave, Provident Fund, Pension facilities etc. the rest 97%  from the unorganized sector is left high and dry, in which a good percentage of women suffer both at home and work place. Financial freedom for women is very limited and justice is based on gender practiced in our civil society.   While every political party wants women vote for getting elected , their action do not  result in  passing of 33%  women reservation bill even today. What else this can be called other than male dominated society keeping women at bay.  While we clamor for Social change in society, the highly paid I.T sectors behavior like working hours beyond 8, to deny maternity leave, the company sacks the women employee is the order of the day and Divorce case among I.T sector is very high. We take a pledge that we shall not remain as a silent spectator and by our united action and wake up the Governments from its deep slumber.

Earlier the women members were honoured with shawls.
MADURAI
